Goyo: The Boy General (Tagalog: Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral), also known simply as Goyo, is a 2018 Philippine historical epic film starring Paulo Avelino as the titular "Boy General", Gregorio del Pilar, who died at the historic Battle of Tirad Pass during the Philippine–American War. It is written, directed, edited, and scored by Jerrold Tarog, and is a sequel to the critically and commercially successful 2015 film Heneral Luna, which chronicled Antonio Luna's life. Additional members of the ensemble cast include Carlo Aquino, Mon Confiado, Epy Quizon, Gwen Zamora, Empress Schuck, Alvin Anson, and Rafa Siguion-Reyna. It was released on September 5, 2018.

Synopsis
Meanwhile after the Goyo’s pictorial, Julian del Pilar told him that
they captured Angel Bernal, the younger brother of Jose and Manuel.They arrestAngel because he might tellwhere his brother Jose and Manuel at.
Afterwards, Goyo arrived at
Dagupan, Pangasinan and Manuel was captured and detained & tortured, but
then Goyo told him to join their side and he’ll give him position, but he
refuses on that offer so he was killed.
Soon after, Goyo had a dinner with
Don Mariano’s House, he also begun to court Remedios who’s Don Mariano’s
daughter that was not an “EASY TO GET” type of girl.
Aguinaldo also arrives at
Pangasinan and he confirms if Jose was captured, Goyo said that Jose was not
only captured but also killed.
In their conversation, Aguinaldo
promotes Gen. del Pilar as a Major-General of Pangasinan.
Later on,Aguinaldo arrives at Marini’s House and he
offers Mabini to be a Head of Supreme Court, but he reluctantly accepts it,
then they talked about the freedom and truth, and the “Truth of Luna’s Death”,
Aguinaldo also said that he’ll send Alejandrino in Manila to negotiate with the
American to recognize the Government of the Philippines.
After that, General Alenjandrino
arrives at Manila with 13 American prisoners in exchange to negotiate with
Major-General Elwell Otis and General Arthur MacArthur, but then, Otis said the
they can’t accept the proposal of Aguinaldo to recognize him as a President of
the Philippines, instead he recognizes him as a General-In-chief of Philippine
Revolutionaries, so Alejandrino said that they will take back all the prisoners
if that so.
But Otis doesn’t agree on that, but
he gives a “24 hours safe leaving” in the claimed territory of America or else
they will be imprisoned.
In the other side, Apolinario
Mabini wrote a letter to Aguinaldo that he don’t agree with the conversation of
Otis and Alejandrino, he also wrote that he’s waiting the formal recognition of being a Chief-Justice to guide
the Filipinos on the Revolution in right way against the American forces.
Afterwards, Aguinaldo planned about
strategies and tactics with Goyo & Gen. Alejandrino, he also orders the
Philippine Army to march to Pozzurubio (a town in Pangasinan) to join forces
with Gen. Tinio’s force, but they failed to merge the their forces because of
continuous chasing of Americans on them.
The Member of “Philippine Army’s
Rearguard” has been decreased and they didn’t make to follow Aguinaldo’s side. While
the continuous chase of Americans on them, they are frequently changing their
camp until they came up at the top of Mount Tirad or also known as “Tirad
Pass”, where the historic battle happens.
After the historic battle, the side
of the Philippines has failed to defend, and worse, General Gregorio “GOYO” del
Pilar has been killed by Gunshot while President Aguinaldo and the remaining
troops are running away from the American troops, but later on, he has been
chased and captured in
Palanan, Isabela.
Aguinaldo became a prisoner of war
in Malanañ Palace, and Manuel Quezon visited Emilio Aguinaldo there to verify
if Mascardo should surrender on the battle or not, but he said that Mascardo
should surrender to himself.
In the end before the post credits
scene, Remedios got the letter from Goyo.

a result of worse leadership among the revolutionaries”
